Once there was a king. His name was Chris. One day the king Chris told some of his laborers to dig a small pond. The idea of the king is to have a wonderful small pond full of milk to enhance his state. The laborers obeyed the king's order and began to dig the pond. Once the pond was dug completely, the king made an announcement to his people saying that one individual from every family needs to bring a glass of milk during the night and empty it into the pond. So, the small pond should be filled with milk by the morning. After receiving the order, everybody returned home.
One man arranged to take the milk during the night. He imagined that since everybody will bring milk, he could simply take a glass of water and pour it inside the small pond. Since it will be dull around the evening time, nobody will take note. So he immediately proceeded to pour the water in the pond and returned. In the morning king was very happy and excited as he was going to see his dream pond. The king went to the pond and he was surprised, the pond was only filled with water! What has happened is that everybody was thinking like the other man that "I don't need to put the milk, another person will do it."
Similarly when it comes to supporting our society or our nation by contributing something, do not think that others will deal with it. Rather, it begins from us, if we don't do it, nobody else will do it. So, change ourselves to make a superior society and a superior country and that will have the effect. Indeed, even by doing right and the mindful thing we can inspire others to do as such.
