The Death of a Soldier Short Story

The death of a soldier is an emotional short story of a brave soldier who wants to return home after a terrible war ends.

The Death of a Soldier Short Story

This is the story of a brave soldier who finally plans to come home after the war ends in America. He called his parents to give this news.  He said, “Mom and Dad, I’m finally coming back home, but I want a favor from you. I want to bring my friend home with me. “okay,” his parents replied, “we’d be so happy to meet him.”

The soldier said, “There’s something else you should know about my friend,” he continued, “he was badly injured while fighting and lost a hand and a leg. There is no place where he can go, so I want to bring him home to live with us.”

His parents answered, “I’m so sorry to hear that, my boy. Possibly we can assist him with discovering someplace to live.” The soldier denied and said I truly want him to live with us.

“My boy,” replied the father, “you don't have a clue what you're telling. Someone with such a disability will become a terrible burden on us. We also have our own long lives to live, so we don't want someone like this to meddle with our lives. In my opinion, you should just get back home and forget this person. He'll figure out how to live all alone.”

After listening to this, the soldier cut the phone. From that day, his parents heard nothing more from him. After a few days passed, suddenly, they received a shocking call from the police that their son is no more. He died after falling from a building. The police think it was suicide.

The sorrow-stricken parents flew to his place and were taken to the city mortuary to recognize the body of their child. They identified him, yet sadly, they found something they didn’t have any idea about, their child had just one hand and one leg.

The guardians in this story resemble huge numbers of us. We think that its simple to cherish the individuals who are gorgeous or amusing to have around, yet we don't care for individuals who bother us or cause us to feel awkward. We would prefer to avoid individuals who aren't as sound, wonderful, or keen as we may be. Fortunately, there's somebody who won't treat us that way. Somebody who adores us with an unrestricted love that invites us into the eternity family, paying little heed to how wrecked we are.

From Today, before you go to bed for sleep, say a small prayer that Lord will give you the strength to accept individuals as they seem to be, and to help everyone of us be all the more comprehension of the individuals who are not quite the same as us!
